Hey Team...

Hope the week is shaping up nicely for you!

Let's keep working hard and finish strong!

I wanted to share something with you.....

It is time.....

I am a reformed perfectionist...

What?

Reformed?

Well yeah...

For most of my life... I had been chasing mountain sized goals...and was using every ounce of my energy and being to achieve those goals.....

But what happened?

I achieved the goals.....

But was left tired, fatigued, exhausted, and quite frankly, burnt-out.....

I did it wrong...

I sacrificed health, well-being, and being available to those around me for the quest of just another goal.....

And I share this with you today because I am doing it much differently today.....

Living as somebody who was chasing perfection... I never stopped.

Never rested ( always having my phone and laptop out)....

Always feeling like I had something to do... somebody to call.. or something to worry about...

Can you relate?

The never ending to-do list....

The constantly thinking about what I had to do... what was next on the list...

And as a result.. I found myself always in motion....

All of the time...

That means, I was not resting and recharging...

Which is something I preach to my coaching clients every day... we must rest and recharge to be Champions....

SO what was driving this obsession?

Perfectionism.

The quest to be perfect.

The quest to obtain the unobtainable.

You see, being perfect and batting 1000 is not possible....

But I was approaching each day like it was... and that burnt me out....

So what changed?

Did I become lazier?

Less ambitious?

Nope.

I just got really clear on what I wanted to do... and was meant to do...

Instead of having a mission, I went on a mission.

That mission was to motivate, inspire, and encourage millions of people..

From Athletes to Wall Street, CEOs to High School Students.. Male and Female....

And, because I got laser focused.. it no longer feels like work...

No longer do I feel the pressure of perfect... but the excitement of helping others and watching them smash their personal goals....by putting them ON A MISSION....

When we are on a mission... we start playing offense without the pressure...

Because, it is about the moment and not the mountain....

One great moment at a time....

One great achievement at a time...

Rather than trying to win the whole damn thing, every single day.

That can work.. but it will leave you feeling emotionally and energetically bankrupt.

So, today, I encourage you to let the "chase for perfection" go....

Liberate yourself...

And do GREAT WORKS....

Let's  GO!

Chase Greatness...
