I wanted to share my LinkedIn post with you today:
I have been reading a book lately on "directionality"...
Most specifically, a book on directionality and obedience.
But more specific than that, a book about understanding that the real resistance comes from the outside, when we allow the concepts of an "insta" world to infiltrate our minds, taking us away from repetitive actions that lead us to victory.
What am I saying here?
If you think about insta, or doing things quick, or getting a fast result, you will always be searching.
Searching is good within reason, but the truth is, when you put a seed in the ground to grow a plant, or tree- it takes time for the seed to do it's thing.
For much of the seeds early life, you see nothing on top of the ground.
But then, a little shoot appears.
You then are hopeful.
All that underground work is paying off.
Then, the shoot gets taller and begins to take shape.
The point I am making is this: When you are building something, including yourself, it takes time to see the tree. It takes time to become that solid oak or maple tree.
The more you can move in a singular direction, with high levels of belief in what you are doing, and have measurable achievements (no matter how small) along the way to keep you engaged, that is the key to long obedience in the same direction.
Forget the hacks, forget the shortcuts, forget the guru's, forget it all.
Find the seed, plant the seed, nurture the seed, manage the growth.
Stay singular, stay focused.
Do not let others speed you up or take you off course with their shiny offerings.
You my friend are on a course for greatness- and greatness takes time.
I shared today's message because it is what I am going to be coaching on this week in The Champions Academy.
Too often many are spending too much time searching.
This week, during our Academy meeting we are going to be creating and establishing a direction for the members. One they are happy and excited about- one that leads to results.
We would love to have you.
Let's go out and win today!
