I was in my mid-30s, just retired from coaching in MLB and was living in FL.
Playing golf, walking daily, working out, and going to dinner- hanging with friends and doing some executive coaching-- there was only one problem... I was bored AF.
Yup.
"Retirement" sucked.

This AM started at 2:30am- loading the truck for deliveries...
Emptying a 53' foot freezer trailer, taking one 40lb. box after the other out and putting it into the delivery van...
The trailer = 22 degrees.
The outdoor temps = 30s with wind.
This AMERICAN work-ethic and spirit does something to ones soul...
It makes you tough- real tough.
And- it makes your tolerance for excuses, blaming conditions, and all other "bitching"- almost zero.
So, while others are nice and cozy- we work.
And- at the same time we are building one of the largest direct to consumer meat brands ( Freedom Farms NY ) in the northeast- very, very quickly.
It all started with a realization: I HAD TO CHANGE.
You may need to change too.
Sometimes cashing in your "comfort" chips for challenge is the answer-- and for men, if you are not working with your hands and using your body and strength- you are missing out.
